Send out your invitations for your wedding 6-8 weeks before your wedding date
Don't forget to have a wedding favor as a thank you to your guests for coming. Wedding favors let your guests know that you appreciate them and that you are glad they could come to your wedding.
Make sure you select dresses that will flatter all your bridesmaids. You want them to feel good at your wedding not self conscious.
Do not seat divorced parents or x's at the same table if you are having reserved seating at the wedding reception.

Have tape at your gift table to prevent any mishaps with cards falling off of presents. It is also a good idea to have someone in charge of the gift table at your wedding.
Select and book your wedding DJ at least 6 - 12 months in advance so you will have the one you want to preform at your wedding.
Make someone in charge of returning all rented items after the wedding.
Stay within your wedding budget. You will regret it latter if you do not. You don't want financial problems after you are married. It is no way to start a marriage.
Make sure you get your groom involved in the wedding planes. It is his wedding also. Let him be a part of the planning process.
Be sure to seat older guests away from load music at your wedding reception.
Remember to include step parents in the wedding in someway.
Consider having the reception and wedding at one location at all possible or very close to each other. Make sure you have maps available for everyone to have if needed.

Don't book the first vendor you meet with. Make sure to shop around so you will have your favorite wedding vendors.
Review with your wedding photographer what pictures you want him to take or not take.
Do not put where you are registered on the wedding invitations. This should only be done by mouth if someone ask. It is considered very tacky.
Consider offering a vegetarian option at your reception. Many people are going vegetarian or worrying about health issues. You want the guest to enjoy there time.
Do not have a dollar dance or dollar tree at your wedding. This is the tackiest thing you can do at your wedding.
Remember to enjoy every moment of your wedding. Try not to stress. It will be over so quickly.
