Engagement Party Games

 

If you are coordinating an engagement party for a happy couple and would like to have party games throughout the evening. There are a lot of games to choose from. Games will really set the tone for the evening and insure that everyone is having a great time. They are a great way to introduce people and a great way to break the ice.

 

One favorite engagement party game is Ice diamond in which you give out pieces of ice to each guests and have the mold the ice buy cutting, melting it and make it into a diamond.

 

Another fun game is "Truth or Lie". You give each guests a piece of paper and have the write down a couple of interested facts about the couple and a couple of interesting lies. You then put the papers in a bowl and pick them out one by one. The narrator then picks one on the paper. Either a truth or a lie and the guests need to determine if it is a truth or a lie. You can get really creative with the lies for this one.

 

You can create your own version of the Newlywed Game. Have a couple of other couples who want to participate also join in the fun. You can write on paper some silly questions for the couples to answer. Have the men leave the room and ask the woman the questions. Write them down. You then have the mean come back into the room and ask the men the same questions. See how close there answers are. You can then start over with the women being sent out of the room.

 

You can also do simple games such as word searches or bingo or make a game around Karaoke. You can put different songs in a hat.  Have each guests also put there name in a hat. Depending on the number of guests you have pick 3 -4 people from the name hat and put them in a group together. They then pick a song from the hat to preform it. Give them each about 10 to 15 minutes to practice.  Don't have them practice to the actually song they most practice to what only the remember about the song. The can also add movements for more creativity. They can pick a lead singer and have back up singers or just all sing. Anything goes!
